1950 Callahan
The 1950 Callahan Hall of Fame Baseball Card Set was produced from 1950 to 1956, and sold at the Baseball Hall of Fame Museum and at ballparks in a boxed set. The standard 1950 Callahan Hall of Fame has 61 unnumbered cards, which measure 1 3/4" by 2 1/2" in size New cards were added each year as players were enshrined into the Hall of Fame. The cards that were added after 1950 are harder to find and not considered as part of the standard set. The later the year a player was enshrined in the Hall of Fame, the smaller the card's population.
The card of Albert "Happy" Chandler, was only issued in the 1950 first printing, and was replaced in later printings by "Kenesaw Mountain" Landis. The most expensive star card in the 1950 Callahan Hall of Fame Set is of Joe DiMaggio, who was not inducted until 1955.
