1914 B18 Baseball Blankets

The 1914 B18 Baseball Blankets set consists of 90 unnumbered cloth squares, each of which contain a color variation. The vintage baseball blankets are 5¼” squares that were originally issued as flannel inserts with different cigarette brands.  They are comprised of a felt-like material and get the name blankets due to the fact that many people fashioned the squares into quilts or blankets.  The "Red Infield" Variations are nearly impossible to find, are very expensive due to their scarcity, and there are 17 known blankets of this variation.

Hall-of-Famers and notable players featured in this issue are the: B18 Blankets are: Ty Cobb, Frank Chance, Bobby Wallace, Walter Johnson, Rabbit Maranville, Casey Stengel, Zach Wheat, Max Carey, Joe Kelley, Miller Huggins and Shoeless Joe Jackson.
