There are some very interesting Retro Baseball Card Complete Sets that make a fun addition to any collection.  These baseball cards feature past players, often with fresh photographs, and usually at very affordable prices.  Some of the great Retro baseball cards sets were produced by TCMA, Conlon, and Pacific Legends.
