Gene Cockrell

Eugene Oliver Cockrell (born June 10, 1934) is a former American football offensive tackle who played three seasons with the New York Titans of the American Football League. He was drafted by the Cleveland Browns in the 28th round of the 1957 NFL Draft. He first enrolled at the University of Oklahoma before transferring to Hardin–Simmons University. Cockrell attended Pampa High School in Pampa, Texas. He was also a member of the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League. He was inducted into the Texas Panhandle Sports Hall of Fame in 2010.
